Our story began a long time ago, having grown up on a station in the Awatere Valley, surrounded by sheep, sheep, sheep and more sheep - inevitably also a lot of wool. Inspired by the environment I grew up in with an appreciation of the product and its uses.
So who am I? Who is Wild Son? Wild Son is a passion project, created by me, Jacqui, a mother of two and lover of wool, when looking to find wool products for my home and my children I discovered a gap in the market with only a few options of New Zealand designed AND made products.
On one of the many late nights, or early mornings awake with my youngest my brain started ticking away and from drawings on the back of kindy artwork, ideas scattered through notes on my phone Wild Son started to take shape.
What's in a name... I knew I wanted the name to reflect my family, and be something meaningful that wouldn’t be outgrown by the options or direction the brand could take.
