How long does my order take to arrive?
If you order before 4pm on a weekday your blanket will be packed and processed overnight. The courier will pick them up Monday - Friday. These should take about 5 business days to arrive to you, but unfortunately, the post system is out of our control once they leave our property.
You will be sent a tracking number so can follow your package until it reaches you hot little hands.
Where is the wool sourced from?
Our merino wool comes from Biella, in North Western Italy. A city known as the Italian wool capital. The wool industry has been thriving there since the 1300s.
We would love to one day use NZ wool in some of our blankets, particularly from our family farm in Marlborough.
Where are the blankets made?
The blankets are made in Dunedin, where there is one of the few large scale knitting companies left in NZ. They stock several different wools and blends which we would love to expand to.
Sizing - Where is a Wild Son blanket best used?
Check out the size details on the product page here. But we have selected these measurements as through samples and trialling these measurements worked great as a Cot and Basinette blanket, right through to a first bed for your child. This also makes it a great size to use in a pram, in a car seat folded or to use as a lap blanket on the couch!
How do I care for my blanket?
One of the best things about Merino is its ability to breathe and wick moisture away from skin, this also means it doesn't hold odours easily.
For any physical marks or oppsies your Wild Son blanket can be spot cleaned when needed. Merino is a great fibre because it doesn't hold sweat or smell so you don't need to wash it often. If your washing machine has a wool wash setting this is great.
Washing in a bucket of cool water is another option with some wool wash - do not leave it to soak.
Dry flat in the shade, do not hang otherwise your blanket will drop out of shape.
